The 95th National Ploughing Championships came to a close yesterday at Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, after three busy days of agriculture, machinery, innovation and entertainment. The event attracted 243,000 visitors, including 75,000 on the final day, making it another major gathering for the Irish farming community. Good weather across the three days also helped create a positive atmosphere throughout the site.

For Agrigear, this year's Ploughing Championships event was a great success and provided another opportunity to meet farmers, contractors and machinery operators from across Ireland.

BKT Tyres, Wheels and Ralson on Display

A major focus at the Agrigear stand was our range of BKT agricultural tyres, alongside Agrigear-manufactured wheel rims. We also displayed wheels showing the before-and-after of our rim reconditioning process, giving visitors a closer look at the transformation from an original rim to a fully refurbished and powder-coated finish and different colour and finish options to choose from.

Visitors could also explore the Ralson truck tyre range and speak directly with our sales team about their requirements. Throughout the three days, many customers requested tyre pricing and discussed different options for their machinery, with our sales advisors on hand to answer questions and provide guidance.

 

The Agrigear Team at Ploughing 2026

The National Ploughing Championships were also a great opportunity for the Agrigear team to meet customers and industry contacts over the three days. Shane Sheridan, Damien Galligan, Barry Hanlon and Ronnie Coleman, Michael Hall, Gerald McAdam and Preenu Paul were all involved at different stages of the event, bringing their experience and expertise to the stand.

The team spent the three days speaking with farmers, contractors, machinery operators and existing customers, answering technical questions and discussing tyre and wheel requirements. Visitors were able to speak directly with our sales and technical team about different BKT and Ralson tyre options, wheel rims and applications, with many customers also requesting pricing for their specific requirements.

With a combination of technical knowledge, industry experience and direct customer support, the team helped make sure visitors received practical advice based on their machinery and working conditions. The conversations throughout the event also provided a valuable opportunity for Agrigear to better understand the requirements and challenges faced by customers across the agricultural sector.

BUSTER Brings Plenty of Attention

One of the main attractions on the Agrigear stand this year was BUSTER, the Case 1455 tractor associated with social media influencer Evenflow. BUSTER was fitted with a full set of BKT AGRIMAX V-FLECTO VF tyres, with VF710/70R38 tyres on the rear and VF600/65R28 tyres on the front, giving visitors an opportunity to see BKT’s VF technology in a real machinery application.

Alongside BUSTER, Agrigear also displayed a Case Farmall 120M tractor, showcasing different grass wheel and transport wheel options, highlighting the range of wheel solutions available for different agricultural requirements.

The stand also featured a Komatsu WA-380 loader, fitted with a full set of VF800/65R32 BKT AGRIMAX PROHARVEST tyres mounted on bespoke rims manufactured by Agrigear. This display brought together BKT’s latest VF tyre technology with Agrigear’s in-house wheel manufacturing capabilities, giving visitors a practical example of how the two solutions can work together.

 

A Giveaway for Our Visitors

We also brought a little extra fun to the stand with our Ploughing giveaway. A special photo frame was set up for visitors to take photographs, share them on social media and enter for the chance to win a goodie bag packed with gifts.

The frame quickly became a popular spot, with many visitors joining in and sharing their Ploughing experience online. Visitors could also pick up plenty of Agrigear and BKT goodies, including keyrings, hats, caps, carry bags, pens, colouring books and pencils.

A Great Three Days

The National Ploughing Championships remain an important event for Agrigear, giving us the chance to meet customers face-to-face, showcase our products and understand the requirements of the farming community and the wider agricultural sector.

With favourable weather, strong visitor numbers and plenty of conversations taking place at our stand, Ploughing 2026 was a very successful three days for the Agrigear team.
