Agrigear Ltd.

Agrigear was pleased to take part in Road Safety Week 2026, held from 5th to 11th October, in partnership with the Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA). The initiative brought attention to the importance of vehicle and tyre safety, encouraging motorists across Ireland to take responsibility for maintaining their vehicles and helping make roads safer for everyone.

As part of the campaign, Agrigear offered FREE tyre safety checks to help motorists identify potential tyre issues and understand the importance of regular tyre maintenance.

Supporting the Vision Zero Campaign

Road Safety Week continues to support the wider Vision Zero ambition of eliminating road deaths and serious injuries. Tyre condition is an important part of this effort, as tyres are the only point of contact between a vehicle and the road.

Working alongside the ITIA and other road safety stakeholders, including the Road Safety Authority (RSA) and An Garda Síochána, the campaign helped highlight the role that regular tyre inspections can play in preventing avoidable risks on Irish roads.

Tyre Safety Day: Putting Tyres in Focus

Tyre Safety Day on 5th October marked the beginning of the week-long campaign, placing particular emphasis on checking tyre condition, tread depth and inflation pressure.

Free Tyre Checks for the Community

As part of our contribution, Agrigear made free tyre safety checks available to motorists. These inspections provided an opportunity to identify potential concerns and offer practical advice on maintaining tyres in a safe condition.

Regular tyre checks can also help prevent uneven wear and unnecessary replacement costs. Keeping tyres correctly inflated and in good condition supports better vehicle performance and can contribute to improved fuel efficiency.

Alongside our free tyre safety checks, Agrigear used its social media channels throughout the week to share practical tyre safety guidance, reminders about the importance of regular inspections and other useful information for motorists.

Agrigear's Ongoing Commitment to Road Safety

Although Road Safety Week 2026 has now concluded, the importance of tyre safety continues throughout the year. Agrigear will continue to offer FREE tyre safety checks throughout the year, not just during Road Safety Week. Our team is committed to helping motorists keep their tyres in safe condition and identify potential issues early. We encourage all drivers to make regular tyre checks part of their routine and contact our team whenever they need advice or assistance.

Changes in weather and road conditions make regular inspections particularly valuable as motorists prepare for the wetter and colder months.

Agrigear would like to thank everyone who supported the campaign and took the time to consider the condition of their tyres. We also recognise the work of the ITIA, RSA and An Garda Síochána in continuing to promote safer roads across Ireland.

Need advice on your tyres? Our team is available to help with tyre checks, advice and replacement options. Contact Agrigear on 042 9666 444 to discuss your requirements.
