We're pleased to report that Agrigear's partnership with the Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) for Road Safety Week 2025 (October 6th-12th) was a tremendous success. The initiative brought together the ITIA, Road Safety Authority (RSA), and An Garda Síochána to raise awareness about road safety across Ireland.

Vision Zero Campaign Impact

This year's support of the Vision Zero campaign, aimed at eliminating all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, resonated strongly with our customers. The campaign's question "What Can You Do?" inspired many to take proactive steps toward safer driving practices.

 

At Agrigear, we contributed by offering FREE tyre safety checks throughout the week, and we're delighted to report an overwhelming response from the community.

Tyre Safety Day Success

Tyre Safety Day on October 6th marked a strong start to Road Safety Week. An Garda Síochána's active checking of tyre conditions nationwide helped reinforce the importance of proper tyre maintenance. With over 180,000 cars failing the NCT last year due to tyre issues, this focus on tyre safety was both timely and necessary.

Community Response

The response to our free tyre safety checks was exceptional. Our team of expert technicians conducted numerous inspections throughout the week, identifying and addressing potential safety issues before they could lead to accidents or breakdowns.

Customers were surprised to learn about the impact of proper tyre maintenance on both safety and fuel economy:

• Several vehicles were found with significantly underinflated tyres
