Environmental Action at Scale
In the 2023–2024 financial year alone, BKT planted nearly 25,000 new trees across 48,000 square meters of land. This initiative forms part of a wider mission to protect biodiversity and reduce environmental impact. The company also implemented strategies to reduce carbon emissions, successfully saving around 28,000 tonnes of CO₂, and adopted advanced circular economy practices to minimise waste and increase the use of recyclable materials in production.
These actions reflect BKT’s alignment with global sustainability objectives and its role in supporting a more responsible manufacturing industry, especially important for companies like Agrigear and its customers, who rely on Off-Highway tyres for agricultural, industrial, and earthmoving operations.
Social Responsibility in Action
BKT’s sustainability efforts go beyond the environment—they also extend to people and communities. In India, the company has partnered with the Akshaya Patra Foundation, helping provide nutritious meals to over 2.2 million school children daily, including more than 28,000 children in Bhuj, home to one of BKT’s largest production plants.
As part of this collaboration, BKT supported the creation of a massive canteen facility in Bhuj, capable of serving up to 50,000 meals a day. This initiative not only provides nutritious meals but also supports education by helping children stay in school.

Investing in Health and Education
BKT is also investing in healthcare infrastructure in under-resourced areas, supporting prevention and treatment initiatives and helping to enhance hospital and clinic facilities. Its efforts focus on making healthcare more accessible and effective, particularly in rural communities.
On the education front, BKT supports projects that promote teacher training, modern learning environments, and educational resources. These efforts are designed to ensure fair access to quality education and help foster a skilled and empowered future generation.
